This two-day conference honors the first woman dean in the UC system, eminent UCSC faculty member in Literature from 1978 until her retirement, mentor of numerous graduate and undergrad students, builder of feminist institutions and departments at UCSC, teacher of writing on and off campus, and significant feminist literary and psychoanalytic theorist. Featuring Donna Haraway, Seth Moglen, Bettina Aptheker, Sheila Namir, Brenda Shaughnessy, Carla Freccero, Leslie Bow, Christopher Chen, Amy Mihyang Ginther, Jennifer Gonzalez, Susan Derwin, Dee Hibbert-Jones, and Brenda Sanfilippo .
